COLONEL ARTHUR MORROW

In his 95th year, Colonel Arthur Mor> row, a veteran-of the Maori Wars, died at his residence, Epsom, yesterday. When the expedition of the Auckland Rifle Volunteers went to Wairoa South in 1863, Colonel Morrow was an ensign, aged 22. Afterwards he had a distinguished military career. Born in County Longford, Ireland, he was the fifth son of Mr Hugh Morrow, formeTly of the British Ordnance Departrnent. He arrived at Auckland in 1861.
