ABERHART DEFIES OTTAWA’S VETO OF ALBERTA BANK LAW

(Received 31, 1.45 p.m.) EDMONTON, Aug. 30. Mr. W. Aberhart, . the Social Credit Premier of Alberta, in a letter to Mr. Macfeenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada, declares that Alberta is determined to put into operation the disallowed Bank Act. In addressing followers at a picnic, Mr. Aberhart stated that Ottawa would have other Acts to disallow after the special session of the Legislature. The gathering adopted a resolution urging . Ottawa to rescind its disallow- , ance. ' An Ottawa message says that Cabinet will consider Mr. Aberhart's defiance bn Wedncsday.
