Council Has Plan Ready S0LUTI0N OF PROBLEM An indication that shortly the Hastings Borough C'ouacil would be making known a proposal to" provide the borough with a suitable sports grbuud was given by the Mayor, Mr 6. A> Maddison, yesterday, "The qucstiou of a sports girouad had been well before the people for some years," h.e. $aid. "and there have been all sorts of proposals pcopounded and placed before the coun-* cil, I think we have a solution to the probjem, and shortly 1 will piace it beforo the citizens on behalf of the council. "I think it will be possible to provide a sports ground of which we will be particularly. proud, and at a cost of about the erection of the buildings only," he said. "If we can only bring the scheme to fruition it will be a wonderful thing for this town "
