WELLINGTON, This Day. "Im sorry that what I propose to do shall be an infliction on your children, but it is thfe only way," said the Magistrate, Mr W. L. Stilwell, when imposing a month'e hard labour on Charles Evans^ aged 53, labourer, who admitted obtaining £13 1/10 in excess of sustenance by means of false eraploymenf deelarations.
