PRESENT FOR BIBLE CLASS TEACHER

A pleasant evening was spent on Thursday at the Methodist parsonage, Hastings, the occasion being a surprise party gjiven by the Intermediafe G^rls; Bible Class to their leader, Miss ^helma Gibbs, to celebrate her birthday. A programme of vocal and elocutionary items were interspersed with games and competitions and was enjoyed by all. During the snpper, wbich was spread in the dining room, Miss Lorna Gosnell, on behalf of the class, presented Miss Gibbs with a beautiful vase, the recipient responding in suitable terms. A happy gathering was brougjit to a close with musieal honours for the guest and an expression of thanks to tbe members of the parsonage for the . hospitality bestowed.
