A message from Port Louis states that in a fresh outbreak of strikes at the sugar mills the rioters moved to touthern districts, setting fire to the canefields, and Indian huts and terrorising factory hands. Several rioters wero killed in claslies with the pohce The planters have requested the Governnment to take prompt and sterner meatures. Troops are standing by. A Sclienectady message states that clothes were stripped from two women strike-breakers when attempting ^ to pass picket lines surrounding a gnitting factory, and they were compelled to walk several blocks naked while the strikcrs pelted them With tomatoes.
