Edmunds last montli^ when Albert George . Cliatters, aged 28, of, Long Melford, was brought up for judgment for a breach of his recognisqnces. Early . this year Cliatters was bound over l'or sliopbreaking and larceny, and the Ilev.. Gordon Ince, rector of Long Melford, was accepted as a surety i'or hds good beliaviour. Cliatters was given ciothes by the rector, who also provided him with food and shelter. , Then, in turn, he was senb to two homes, but he rau away from botli. In April Chatters turned up at Mel- J ford again, aud coiiimitteed , malicious i damage at the rectory where he had1; previously enjoyed hospitalijty. For that offence he was sentenced to two montlis' imprisonment. After .Cliatters had been sent baek to prison ' for six months, the rector stated. "I feel that, to some extent, the homes to which he went are not the right ones for him. I 'think strongly - that liis is a psychological case." - ■' . ,
