' ' • ' • • The Hastings, Napier and Gisborne clubs will be represented in the championship and both the A and B. grades should be keenly contested. In the two. grades, teams of six runners with the first four of each team to count will compete in the teams section. With such runners as Hughes, Lord aud Hatch, of Napier, and Robertson and Hunt of Hastings competing, it is difficult to forecast the result, and some excellent team racing is assured the public, who are cordially invited to be present. All arrangements have been madq as regards the course, which will be well flagged out for the entire distance. The course has been measured and found to be accurate and everything has been done to assure the smooth running of this, the fourth championship toi be held since the Hawke's Bay district was raised to centre statns. The A grade event is timed to start at 2.30 apd thq B grade, at 3.10 p.m. In the evening the Hastings club is to hold a dance.
