WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. Tbe death has occurred of Mr W. Roberts wlio from 1889 to 1903 made 47 appearances for Wellington as a versatile Eugbv football back, playing in every position of the back line. He represented New Zealand against Queensland in 1896 and the following year was called to Australia when Duncau was injured. For many years he was in the employ of tbe Wellington Harbour Board.
