MONTHLY INGLESIDE
Port Caledonian Society Sli'ght rain last night failed to dampen the Urdour of members and friends of the Port Caledonian Society who attended the monthly ingleside held in. Buffalo Hall, Port Ahuriri, in record numbers, the hall being packed to the doors. Chief J. McConnell welcomed-. the large crowd. A well-arranged dancing programino by Mi's Zeta Bergman's senior and junior pupils was much appreciated. The performers, some of them tinytotn of four years, were the Misses JV Gainey J. Bowie, M. Neil, S. - Grainey, Doreen Hill, Bernice Carswell, Joyce Scott, Sylvia Androws. Rith Sweeney, Veronica Smith, Colleen Grainey) Mavi3 Clune, Cecily Carswell, • Mavis Hunt, Joan Sutherlan'd, Joan Scott Olive Andresen, and Master J. McLean. The items were: Highland fling, tiny tots ballet, Irish jig. skipping dance, tap dance, liornpipe, and military dance. Mr Bruce Barelay contributed two vocal * solos. The Pipe Band played' several selection s, while Pipe-Major Lawson and Pipe-Sergeant Borgman piped for the national dances. Mesdames Moran and S. Minterich played for the children 's other dances. The usual attractive programme of national and old-time dances was gone through, Messrs Y/. M. Mitcheli and Ucrrv supplying the musie.
