CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Sir Charles Clifford has sold the three-year-old Rival Hit to Mr. F. W. Hughes, of Sydney, and the gelding will be shipped to his new home next week. He has had only three starts and created a good impression in his two successes, especially in his easy win in the Longbeach Handicap at the Grand National meeting. It is understood that the price is about £2000.
