WHANGAREI, Last Night. "I do not think the New Zealand Rugby Uuiou is pulling its weight with us in tlie way of finance," said Mi' P. Patersbii, South Auckland, speaking -at a meeting of managers of primary school teams competing for the Roller Mills Shield. He suggestod asking the union for an aunual grant of £100 to assist in conducting the competition. Another manager said the grant already made had been spent on balle. He considered a separate sum should be available for this competition. Mr H. Horner, Whangarei, considered that the need for fighting League propaganda in the Auckland district should be stressed. League was not strong in other parts. A committee was set up to draft a letfer to be. sent through the Auckland union, each sub-union to send a eimilar letter tbrough the respeetive unions.
