MANGATERETERE SCHOOL
Successful Annual *BalI fancy-dress costumes Tlie Mangateretere Scliool held their annual ball last Friday in the woolshed kindly lent by Mr Tucker. This was crowded to capacity. The children, the majority of whom were elad in faiicy dress, took part in tlie grand rnarcli. The wool-shed vvas beautifully dccorated, tlie walls being covered with greenery and streamers. Children' s items were alternated by dances nntil. 9.30 p.m. when the young people were treated to a sit-down sup-per-while the grown-ups took the floor. Mr Burden, the chairman of the seliool committee, thanked Mr Tucker for liis kindness in lending tlie woolshed, the parents, and all who had helped to make tlie dance a snccess. Apologies were. received from Messrs H. M. Cliristie, M.P., E. L. Cullen, M.P., and G. A. Maddison.
