The Auckland oliice of the Stat® FlacemeDt Service had the experience last week not only of having the highest total of placements (154) but of finding employment fQr men of 41 differeut occupations. This list provides evidence of the [ Widespread nature oi' the improvement in trade and commerce because there ia , scarcely any phase of industry that is . not represented. Tbe list is remark-, ; able'' not only for its extent, but even more so for the diversity of the occupations, which comprise an almost complete alphabctical de'scent.
