Market Comes Back For Store >Lines - .HASTINGS SALE The market for hoggets was definitely easier at Stortford Lodge* to-day, when values were down as much as 2/3 on last week's rates. . Tlie outstanding entry was on account of Mr W. 'Kinross Wliite, of well-bred ewe hoggets, shorn. as lambs,%hich sold at 33/4. The . best .ewe hoggets, unshom as lambs, made 23/-'. Fairly grown fat and forward woolly wether hoggets brought 26/1 Pens in forward order and fairly grown ranged from 23/- to 24/-, while otliers shoivitig a Corriedale cross brought 21 /i, . and a very hardy small grown line, showing a Leicested cross, made 22/-. 4 / ; An offering of ewes with: lambs at" foot was made', the lambs being early docked and in very sturdy order, making 17/- all eounted. -* Fattening ewes ranged from 12/- to ii/-. . ; ; Later in the selling second-quality hoggets were ■ more diffioult to trade than had been the' case, for some weeks. Realisations were as under/-— A draft of 557 Romney cross woolly wether hoggets, a few ha,ving been shorn as lambs, the tops ' medium to well grown, • in forward .order and healthy, sold in two cuts at 24/1 and 23/10. These hoggets were very bright and should develop wqll.o'ff the shears. On account of Mr Kinross White, and in from Waikaeao, 151- well. grown and well (bred 4 white-faced . ewe hoggets, shorn as lambs, being in >p.articularly sound and healthy condition, and should develop into excellent twotooths, sold at 33/4.. • * Lorried down from Wairoa, 72 woolly ewe hoggets, medium "grown and in good store order, biit i lacking the size of the previous line, brottght' 32/-.", From the same sour'ce an entry of woolly wether hoggets, .-medium grown and in forward .order, .healthy and bright, xealised 25/3.
