(Received 25. 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 24. Maori Maid ran second to Silver Wave in the Trial Handicap at Wyong to-day. The French racehorse, Gene Tout, will he absent from the Warwick Farm meeting on Saturday. He was again very lame after trotting a shoit distance at Randwick. Talking, in a private trial as Rosebery, ran six furlongg in 1.651 on "the centre of the course. Gold Rod, Disalto, Maia, The Clianter and Ajax provided most of the interest at Randwick to-day. All put up good performances.
