YOUNG KING ENGAGED
Farouk of Egypt to Marry Next Year. (Reeeived 25, 10.40 am..)' CAIRO. Aug. 24. King Farouk of Egypt, who succeedcd his father on April 28, 1936, has become engagcd to Sasi Naz, the 16-year-old daughter of Youssouf Bey Zulficar, a high palaee official. The' King and his fiancee have known each othor from 'childhood — (the King is aged 17 — and their mothers
are firm friends. The mothers, in fact, arranged the match some time ago. King Farouk formally proposed last night, and the official bethrothal cerejnony will be held within a few days. The marriage will take place in 1938, when the bride will be aged 17. Sasi Naz has had a European education iand recently accompanied members of the Egyptian Royal Family to Europe.
