A patron of A. Jenking's stable over the week-end pqrchased from Mrs' Cf E. Twist the five-year-old Lucullus — Fairy Mark gelding, Lucullus Lad, at a price said to i>e in the vicinity pf 5Q0 guineap. I't is upderstood the purchaser a couple of years back had the luck to dra^v a substantial prize in a well-known oversea consultation. Lucullus Lad last season gave promise of developing into a useful . secqqd-class handicap performer, and with luck •sticking to him, his new owner shquld have little difficqlty in gctting the pur-chase-money back.
