Tait, ! at the Municipal Theatre o'n Friday night next, of the renowned Don Cossaelc Ckoir, which ;created a profound sensation in Wellington, where their magnificcnt singing was enjoycd by record audieuces. The wonderful j enthusiasm which was displayed by the hugo audience which greeted the Don Cossaek's initial concert in the capital eity of New Zealand is without a precedent in the history of entertainments, the choir being cheered to the echo after its final contribution. The conduetor, Nicolas Kostrulcofif, provides inspirational guidance, and he is 'said to obtain remarkable offects in tone colour from the singers. .Pathos and tragedy, together with a dash of comedy, will be intermingled in the repertoire which is to be presented by the Don Cossacks here, and vividly do they depict the varying transitions with their contr^sting tones and marvellous preeisions.
