Holyoake drew attention to the salhrics that were being paid to the Director of Internal Marketing, - the Direetor of Broadeasting, and the Director of Commercial Broadeasting, ali of whom, he said, were occupying X>ositions created' by the Labour Government. "Among the high-salaried men-is.,one who claims to be responsible for putting the previous Government out," remarked Mr. Holyoake.- "He. ; may have, but you w-ait", the same man will put the Labour Government out. • Then. take Prof essor Shellcy, who - gets a salary of £1500 a year ,rising to £2000. I don't 'know what that means.- Perhaps it means that he gets £1500 a year while learning his job, and When he has learned it he will get £2000."
