W.E.A. Address Mr P. Marlin Sinith M.A., L.L.B., Dep. Ed, continued his weekly leetures under the ausjiices of the W.E.A. last Thursday cvening, Mr H. Liuyard prosiding. The subjeet was "Social Theorists and their Ini'luenee.' ' A vivid account of the idcas such men as Herbert Spencer, Yoltaire, Louis Blane, Robert Owen and Marx was given. It was shown how that in the midst of stirring changes and insistenfc soeiai problems most pieople of initiative and intelligenee devoted themselves to seeking peisOnal prestige. Daring men like Columbus went exploring and Ealeigh sailed the high seas in mereliant ships. A number of men in Pranee, England, Gormany and Ameriea, however, applied. tlieir minds to the solution of difficult social problems.
