TWYFORD SCHOOL Committee Meeting and . Concert The monthly -meeting of the Twyford JSckool Committee was held on Thursday last. Pxesent: Messrs C. Bibby, (chairman), E. McLeod, H. Groome, P. Jones and S. Salter and the head teacher, Miss Griffiths. The head.teacher's report showed that the attendance, on account of sickness, had not been so well mai'htained, The resignation of the assistant teacher, Miss Pickett, .was received with regret, reference being made to the good work she had done for the school. A small fnnction was held at the school on Friday afternoon when the children gave an impromptu concert which was much enjoyed hy a number of parents and friends. At the close of tlie concert little Mahnie Hickson, on belialf of the school children presented Miss Pickett with a crystal vase and sceilt bottle. Afternoon tea was then enjoyed by all pxesent.
