Successful Visit To Australia

AUCKLAND, This Day. "The standard of Australian play is niuch higher than when we met them in Soutli Africa seven years ago," said Afiss E. AL Ward, captain of the English ladies' koekey team, wrhieh passed through Auckland by the Alonterey to-day. "We are not an international team," continued Miss Ward, explaining that they were all members of county teams and that tho main objects of the tour was to play in the differtnt States of> Australia. "We had a very successful tour and some excellent games. Of 19 matches we won 13, drew two and lost four. All the matches were well fought. We thorpughly enjoyed the whole tour. I only wish we had time to see New Zealand."
