GOWN OF SILVER CHIFFON
LAME FOR NAPIER BRIDE HALPIN — O'KEEFE Masses of early blossom and arum lilies arranged by tlie Sisters of tlie Sacred Heart Convent, Napier, decorated'the altar and posies of flowers tied with white ribbon marked the guests' seats at St. Patrick's Church," Napier, on Saturday, when at 9 a.m. the Rev. Dean Holley celebrated Nuptial Mass and solenmised the marriage of Mavis Ellen, third daughter of Mr and Mrs D. O'Keefe, Mdrine Parade, Napier, to Aubrey Charles, younger soh of Mr and Mrs B. Haplin, of Wairoa. Miss Scott presided at the organ. The bride was escorted by her father, who gave her away. She wore a very attractive gown of the new chiifon lame in briglit silver. The gown had a heart-shaped neckline finished with a uarrow Bledici collar, and a cluster of orauge blossoins at the point. 'Ihe shonlders were slightly stiff'ened, while the sleeves were long and fitting. From the centre of the neckline to the knees sliirring made a pretty triimning and from there to the feet, inset flared godets of tlie material give graceful fulness. The train of lame fell from the shoulders, and falling over it as a second train was the vvedding veil of em-lu-oidered tulle which was airanged from a halo of the lame and caught with tiny posies of orange blossoms, a- sliort shoulder-length of the tulle veiling the face. Her shoes were silver sequinned on lace kid and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The atteiidant maids were the Misses Agnes O'Keefe (cliief) and Maureen O'Keefe, sisters of the bride. Thcy were gowned alike in deep amethyst chill'on velvet. Their bodices had wired shoulders, a heart-shaped neckline with narrow IMedici collar and a clustxjr of grapcs finished the point of neckline. Shirrings wcre cffectively used to mould the I'rocks to the figure and th© train was inset low at the back. Their hats were of the velvet rfiade with upturncd brim and conical crown, from the peak of whicli a net in the saine toiie fell to Ihe shoulders at back. They wore velvet shoes and each carried a matching velvet muff trimmed with a natural spray and twin trailers of cyclamen, hyacinths and 'Sweet peas. Little Shirley O'Keefe, niece of the bride, i\fas a very dainty flower girl wearing a Kate Greenaway frock of magnolia velvet cut full and long. ituchmgs finished the square neckline, waist and liemline and stiffened eqaulettes trimmed ' the shoulders. Her sliirred bonnet was outlined with a halo and she carried a velvet muff with posy of violets. Master Terence O'Keefe, a page boy, wore a Russion suib in white velvet finished with silver buttons. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Bernard Dinnan, and those of groomsman by Mr James Hole, botli of Wairoa. Ushers at tho church wero Messrs Hugh Joyes (Wellington) and Dudley Willis. Mr and Mrs O'Keefe, with Mr and Mrs Halpin, received the guests after the ceremony at the "Silver Slipper" cabaret. The tables were decorated with cases of mauve primula, violets and hyacinths, and the iced wedding
