Cabinet Approves Tenders

WELLINGTON, Last Night. 1 Cabinet has approved of tenders for ,'further contracts for the construction ;0f dwellings under the Govermnent's 'housing scheme. The details of tho contracts which are subject to complc,tion of the usual formalities, wero announced to-night by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary in Charge of Housing, Mr. J. A. Lee. The towns where the dwellings are to be built, the number of houses involvcd and tho names of tho persons or llrms to whom contracts have been awarded, are as follow: — New Plymouth. — 18 houses, Jones and Sandford and W. H. Aburn. Levin. — Eight houses, Harvey and France. Whakatane. — Ten houses, Boon, Sullivane and Luke, Ltd. t Greymouth. — 12 houses, G. E. Wilkins and J. A. Hart. Wakari Estate (Dunedin). — Seven houses, E. H. Levido and T. Stcwart.
