BASIC WAGE INCREASED
New South Wales Area (Ileoeived 21, 10.40 a,m.) SYDNEY, Aug, 30. The New South Wales Government has decided to introduce a Bill to increase the bagic wage in Sydney, Neweastle and Wollongong by 5/6, bringing the weekly wage to £3 18/- and in the country areas to £3 15/-, Railway employees "will be given rises correspondingly.
