Sometimes we reach a weariness When courage ebbs at length, ,The valleys fail to comfort us, The mountains give no strength. Deal with us gentlyt Father, then And for Thy mercies* sake Comfort frail human hearts that bend Lest haply they should bfeak. , We need a surer, sweeter fnith, That Thou alone canst give, So that we cease to fret at life, And learn throuuh Thee to livo.
