De Clifford— Rice In the Presbyterian Church at Hatuma on Saturday, the Rev. W. R. •Hutchison joinecl in holy matrimony George William De Clifford anu Violet Jaue Rice. The bridegroom is a son of Mr and Mrs G. De Clifford, of Lower Hutt, ani^'the bride is a daughter of Mrs and the late Mr B. ltice, of Hatuma. Tho bride, who' was given away by her brother, Mr H. , J. ltice, of Hukanui, lookcd charming in a frock of Kenya red cmbossed cloque, witli brown hat and shocs. Hcr boautiful Oouquct was composed of 'frccsias, cinerarias and maidcnliair foru. Attcndiiig her sistcr as bridcsuiaid, Miss Ella liicc was attraclively gqjylied iu smooth Margurefc llose crepe. She wore a hat to tone aud carried a frugruut bouquet of cyclameus, bcgonias and maideuhair l'ern. The bcst maxi was Mr T. Do Clifford , of Wellington. After the ceremony a rcception was held at the Hatuma Hall. When Mr and Mrs De Clifford left by car" for a honeymoon before xnaking their home at Lower Hutt, Mrs Do Clifford' was wearing a navy pm-stripo eostume and navy hat and shoes to match.
