JAPANESE WOOL PURCHASES
Reduction is Likely (Received 19, 10.40 a.m.)' TOKIO, Aug. 18. While Japan planned to buy 800,000 bales of wool, including 500,000 from Australia, in the eoming season the Asahi Shimbun forecasts that the total will be from 50,000 to 100,000 bales iewer due to the Chinese situation.
