MISS CATHERINE SPEEDY

Miss Catlierine Anne (Kate) Speedy dicd in a private hospital in Dannevirke on Monday. Miss Speedy was the daughter of the late Mr. John and Mrs. Dianna Bruce Speedy and was born at "Burnview," Herbertville. She spent all her life in the district, where, by her quiet and unobtrusive work, she did mueh that was of real value in the community. She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. W. H. Nicols (Palmerston North), Mrs. Frank Armstrong, Mrs. James Armstrong, Mrs. P. V., Smith aiid Mrs. , Simcqx (Dahncfirke* and district), and two brothers, Mr. Bruce Spepdy (Carterton) and Mr.' Stdnley Speedy ("Burnview").
