S Waipukurau Ladies' Club Event r FIRST DAY'S RESULTS From Our Own - Correspondent. ' WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The Waipukurau Ladies' Golf Club's annual open tournament opened on the Maharakeke links this morning, players being present from Napier, Hastings, Takapau, Rangitikei, ■ 'Wanganui,- New Plymouth, and a large number. of local players. ' The weather was perfect and the links were in splendid order, and this, combined with the excellent eatries," has already gone a long way towards ensuing the success of the tournament.
