Another evening of excelleut entertalmnent was enjoyed by all wlio wore picsent at the seeoud evening of the
festival arranged by the Hawke's Bay Drama League when four one-act plays were presented ia the Hastings Municipal Tkeatxe. The adjudicator at the festival was Miss Helen Gardner, and at the conelusiOn of the programme she made her criticisms of each play and announced tlie winning team. Miss Gardner wore a gown of Queon's blne cioquo with ci'oss-over corsage and claBps of brilliants at each side of the neek, Her cape of blue veivet had a fox fur coliar. The cups were presented by Mr E. J. Herriek, the Drama League patron, and also on the stage was the festival crganiser^ Mrs W. A. Whitloek. Mrs Whitlock' wore a lovely gown of ouemone red chiffon with ptiffed sleeves and a cluster of red anemone and fern on the corsage. . Among the audience were: Mr and Mrs E. J. Herriek, Mr and Mrs W.
