COUNTIES' CONFERENCE
The Hawke's Bay County Council will be represented at the annual conference of the New Zealand Counties' Association in Wellington next week by Cr. W. Tucker, who is also a member of the executive of the association. The confer.ence "is to occupy three days, August 25, 26 and 27, and will be opened by the Minister .for Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry. Seventy-seven remits are tb be rlcalt with during that period, there being however, only oue from Hawke's Bay, this referring t6 the weight of orates ou sheep lorries.
