Safe Removed and Blown Open

WAIHI, This Day. The sequel to the removal of a safe containing books, doeuments and & small amount of silver from the premises of Mr. J. Whitehead, boot-im-porter, on the evening of August 6 was the discovery yesterday of the safe eompletely wrecked by explosives in Ford road, about two. miles frOm ths township. The safe was well hidden by heavy growth a few feet offi the ioad. The books and doeuments were intact, and. threepenny bits to the value of 3/were fouud in different parts of the wreck. The reward to the wreckers would probably. be not more than 12/-,
