Miss A. E. J. Spencer has been 'ro. appointed a tueffiber of the Napier Secondary Education BoaTd. Mrs. M. E. Verrier-Jones, B.A., has been appointed to tho teaching staff of the Napier Girls' High School. Mr. L. C. Friend has been appointed to the Napier Secondary Education Board in place of the late Mr. W. Dinwiddio/ The Hon. Eliot R. Davis, M.L.C., with Mrs Davis, was to leave England by the Queen Mary for New York on August 4. He expects to arrive in New Zealand early in September. Mr. G. McDonald, M.R.C.V.S., of Hamilton, who came to New Zealand from Scotland about two years ago under engagement to the Department of Agriculture, has beon appointed veterinary surgeon to the South Otago Veterinary Association.
