Maharahara's Success at Auckland

AUCKLAND, Last Night. The judging of the butter and cheese sections at the Auckland Winter Exhibition was carried out to-day by the officers of the Government dairy produce grading staff. The New Zealand butter championship was won by the Golden Bay Cooperative Dairy Company and the provincial championship by the Bay of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Company. The Maharahara Dairy Company (Dannevirke) won, the New Zealand clicese championship and the Hauraki Plains Dairy Company won the provincial championship. There were 131 entries in the butter section and 94 in tho cheese section. Commenting on the entries, the judges stated the general quality of both butter and cheese was pleasing and satisfactory.
