HOUSE DETROYED
Fire at Westihore A seven-roomed dwelling situated on Meeanee Quay, Westshore, and owned and oceupied by Mr. Edmund Boyd, was completely destroyed by firo on Saturday evening. The houso wa.s one of the oldest in Westshore, and burnt liercely, aided by a strong wind. Mr. Boyd and family wero away when the lire started, and uothing was saved, as tho fire had a good, hold when discovered by dancers attehding a dance at Westshore Hail, and who wore attracted by tho smell of smoko. Tho houso was insured with the New Zealand Insurance Co. for £335, the furniture being covered by tho same ofico for a sum of £215.
