Tbougk a ckain of hedge was removed, this wiU be the full extent of tko removal .in tke meantime.. Tke work actually kas notking to do witk tko major operations on tke park kedges, but is merely a small sckeme, agreed upon some inonths ago, to beautify tko Tomoana road entrances. Tkis morning 's work involved tko removal of about hal~f a ckain of kedge on either side of tke small gateway near tlie parrots cage; and it is proposed to erect a small low concrete , fence, about 15 inckes kigh, along tho boundary line. A big improvement to tkis entrance is anticipated, ■ for tke fence will be in keeping witk tke two recently-con-structed fountains and tke new drink-ing-fountain and tke removal of tko kedge in tkis vicinity will skow off to better advantage tkese improvements and attractions. Tke work is being done by tke department 's permanent staff and is not a subsidy job.
