Attempt To Recover Laurentic Bullion A'nother attempt is to be made this summer to reeover the last of the £5,000,000 treasure from the White Star liner Laurentic which was torpedood in Lough Swilly off the Nortk Irish coast, in 1917n by a German submarine, while carrying bar gold to the United States. The salVage ship Attendant, owned by the M'alet Salvage Syndicate, is in Belfast undergoing reconditioning for tho searck, which is to be coutinued throughout the summer. Tho British Admlralty oporations belgveen 1918 and 1924 resulted in the recovery of most of the £5,000,000 from the Laurentic, which lies. on the bed of the sea at a depth of 140 f eot, where the Atlautic sweeps strongly into Lough Swilly, The Laurentic is a jumble'd mass of undersea wreckage, but diversi who are ekiUed shipwright#, will attempt to penetrate to the strong room, where £50,000 bar gold is still buried, which it is hoped they will be able to obtain for the British Government.
