THAMES, This Day. A fatal fire occurred early this morning, wlien the Salutation Hotel was destroyed. There were. about 16 people in the hotel at the time, all except Mr Albert Fisher, married, aged 57, having very narrow escapes, The deceaseo, wbo was evidently overtJqme by thet intense smoke, worked for many years in the miues at Thames. He lived, until ieeeutly, at Tararu. The hotel building was an old landmark in the towu, being erected over 60 years ago.
