KINDERGARTEN MOTHERS MEET

The fortnightly meeting of the Hastings Freo Kindergarten Mothers' CiuD was held last Wednesday. There was a good attendanco of mothers. The dolls which were distributed at the previous meeting was handed back for the judging of the winners of the dressing competition. Great originality was shown by many of the competitors, and all of the dresses showed evidence of extremely painstaking work. Tho winner of the competition was Mrs Everett. A very helpful demonstratiou oh the making of boys' trousers was given by Mrs. R. Batley, who also demonstrated the methods used in the setting-in of sleeves and the making of a plaeket.
