N.Z. Meet Sir Julian Cahn's Eleven

23 WICKETS FALL (From the Special Corfespondent of the CTnited Presa Association witb the Team.) (Received 12, 11.30 a.m.) NOTTINGHAM, Aug. 11. Twenty-three wiekets fell in a day of sensational cricket when the New Zealanders met Sir Julian Cahn's XI. The wicket was exceptionally fast and good batsmen on both sides'were beaten by exceptional bowling. Cowie and Carson bowled with such fire that the first five Home wiekets fell for 27 and the whole side was out before luneh. Sir julian Cahn's team included several internationals whose eheap dismissal reflected great credt on the bowlers. Dempster was included after the team was first annoiinced, but was dis* missed cheaply. Against Crisp and Morkel the South African Test players, and Mudge, the Australian, the New Zeaiand wiekets also tumbled quickly. The only players to stay long wrere Carson, Weir and Wallact» New Zeaiand 's lead was small, but Cowie again bowled magnilicently in the English team's seeond innings. Koberts, after a month's idleness, bowled without distress and may play in the test. Details: —
