RADIO ANNOUNCER'S MYSTERY GIFT, The following interesting anecdote appeared in the "N-Z. Radio Record" of June 25th:— "For 24 hours a bottle, carefully wrapped, stood on the table nnder the announcer'e roster of 1ZB. It bor© a tag addressed with the name of a wellknown announcer, and the othera speculated freely on its contents. Indeed, if it had been cream it wonld have soon been butter, eo much ond so often was it shaken. Of course, the gentleman to whom it waB addressed was booked off the day it arrived. Next day, when he rushed in, hot and tired after a round of gjolf, the announcers gathered about while he picked it up. Lovingly he opened it, contemplating refreshments— only to discover it was cough mixture from a dear lady who had heard hsm cough over the airl" It is fairly safe to assume that the remedy supplied was' Baxters Lung .Preserver. "Baxters" is best for all hoarseness, huskiness, sore throats, colds on the chest and bronchial troubles. At all chemists and stores, 1/6, 2/6 and extra large size 4/6. Take care — take "Baxters.'' Strange though it seems in these days of rising prices, radio valves have never been cheaper. With costs still rising this desirable state of affairs cannot last. Why not enjoy the icnproved reception new valves will give you and at the same time save money by buying now? _ Bing J. A.
