New Ambulancc for Waipukurau? At yesterday's meeting of the Waipawa Hospital Board there was a long discussion in committee iu connection with the ambulance service. The chairman, Mr W. H. Rathbone, stating tliat the present ambulance was noiv nine years old, said that, while it had rendered excellent service, the time was fast ajxproaching wlien the board would have to face the purchase of a new vehicle. He hoped it would bo found possible to place a sum on the next year's estimates. Following the discussion, which was taken in committee, a resolution was passed authorising the medieal superintendent to report on the facilities generally and render suggestions for the purchase of a nexv ambulauce for the information of the finance committee, with a view to making provision for the acquiring of a new vehicle in due course. Microscope for Sanatorium^ Yesterday's meeting of the Waipawa Hospital Board decided to adopt. the recommendation of Dr P. C. Andersen, iMedical Superintendent of the Pukeora Sanatorium, to purchase a new microscope, at a price of £45, less £15 tradein for the existing instrument. Dr. Anderson reported that there was another clisused microscope on the premises, and authority Was given to sell this if possible. | Rangor Coilected 2/-.
