Miller, S.M.,.in the Napier Magietrate's Court yesterday was adjourned until August.24.when .it was found impossible to compiete the hearing of evidence within the day. . "The case was that in whieb Wilfrid Arthur Goddard, of Hastings, manager,' claimed £100 from Wihifred Jessie Terry, of Napier, -widow,* for- allegedly cutting down six valuable trees. on his property in . Brewster street, Napier. Mr. E. L. Commin appeared for tho plaintiff and Mr. V. J. W. Langley for the defendant/ Six witnesses had been heard for the plaintiff and one for the defendant at the conclusion of yesterday 'e hearing, but five witnesses arp yet to be. heard.
