INSTITUTE CONCERT GIVEN AT BAY VIEW
On Wedncsday evening. Iast .tbe Bay View Women 's Institute land tlie .'Napier Townswomen's Guild, assisted by pupils of .the Misses Lee and Spinks, staged a very sUccessful concert in King George's Hall, Bay View. > There was a large audience, and every item was mueh cnjoyed. After the porformance the Institute committec cntertained the' performers to supper.
The progra.mme was as follows:— Overture, "Salant D'Araom," Napier Townswomen's Guild orchestra; vocal solos, "I Wonder If Love Is a Dream" and "Love 'e Eelio/' Mrs. Nicholson; tap dancc, Joy Iveys; one-act play: "Antiques, " Bay ,Vicw Women's Institute — Mrs. Sprowls, Mrs, Peterson; Annie, her half-sister, Mrs. Alan. Duncan, Mrs. Simmick, antique dealer, Mrs W. • E. Mitchell; violin solo, "Ave Maria," Mrs. Dowling; recitation, Mrs. K. O'Halloran; IrisH dig, Alison Keys, Joyco Scott, Mavi^ Smith; vocal duets, "Oh Raptllre,, and "There Was a Time, ' ' in costume, Mcsdumes Sorrel and Berry; overture, " Barcarolle, ' ' Napier Townswomen's Guild orchestra; vocal solo, ' ' Wliistle and 1 Will Come to Yrou My Lad," Mrs. Barclay;. skirv ping dabce, Joy Iveys; one-act play, "Bobbie Settles Down," Bay View Women 's- Institute — Mrs. Brompton, Mrs. L. . Stafford; Graqo, Mrs. A. McHardy; George, Miss E. Blair; Bobbie, Mrs. Olsen; pianoforte duet, Mesdamcs Fairy and Berry; tap dance, Mavfe Smitb and Alison Keys; sketch, "Lipstiek, " Bay View W.L members; mime, Mrs. O'Halloran; part songs, "Where You Walk" and "Fairy Boat," Napier Townswomen's Guild.
