Possible State Aid

WELLINGTON, This Day. A sympathetie hearing was given by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, to representations by a deputation from the Egmont National Park Board. He undertook to consider giving the board permission to hold a district art union in order that it might meet its liabilities and hinted at the possibility of taking legislative action to prevent the breeding of goats which were causing the destruction of bush. The deputation asked for assistan.ee in payment of the final debt oa the plateau road to the skiiing grounds 4000 feet up and also requested the Government to assist the Dawson Falls Committee to pay the £200 ineurred in replacing the electric light plant destvnvp.rl Tvvr flnnrl
