Hopes for Reyival with Reorganisatioii

r ■ CHBISTCHUECH, Last NightV Hon. D. G. Sulliyan, Minister, of Industries and . Commerce, announced to-day that the amended plan worked ; ont for the flax industry by the Bureau of Industry in conjunetion with-repre-sentatives of the industfy had now been approved and a ' vote of tho industry had resulted in approval being given to the plan, whieh is the first plan under the Industrial Efficiency Act. An industrial committee, consisting of . representatives of the yarious " Bections of the industry, tho workers and the Bureau of Industry • would now be set to'givo effecfc to the provisions of the plan. Mr. Sullivan said that he had great hopes that, as ajesulfc of,tho plan co-ordinating the cfforts .of all the interests in the industry, inclttding the •Government itself, the flax industry would be revived on a sound basis" and would contributC to the prospcrity' of all those engaged in it and .to ihe ccouomic welfare of the country as-;Sp .wljole.
