ARRESTED PASTOR
Trial of Confessional Leader Postponed (Eeceived 10, 11.0 a.m.) BERLIN, August 9. The trial of Pastor Martin Niemoller, leader of the Confessional movement, has been indefinitely postponed, presumably owing to the fear of further dernonstrations. The Daily Telegraph's Berlin correspondent suggests that the postponement of the trial of Pastor Niemoller is due to the authorities' fear of his being acquitted. The correspondent recalls that two prominent Evangelical pastors had been acquitted on similar charges within five weeks. The official reagon for the postponement is that further evidence is available that requires examination.
