Monterey Quicker Than Awatea SYSNEY,"Aug. 9. ' 1 The Sun reports that the Awatea 's passage occupied 63 ho'urs 40 minutes and the Monterey 's took 62 hours 25 minutes. Captain Davey, of the Awatea, in an linterview said: "I was in communicaition with Captain Johanson, of the Monterey, many times during the voy-. iage. I have never met Captain Johanson.
